According to the Ratnagiri district administration, non-heavy vehicle traffic has been diverted through the Kalambaste-Chirani road.
It may be noted that the work of four-laning of the Mumbai-Goa National Highway is going on at Parshuram Ghat section, which is very important and must be completed before the monsoon season.
