Russian human rights ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova said four wounded Ukrainian prisoners of war had been sent back to their home countries in addition to the exchange.

“The Ministry of Defense of Russia, guided by the principle of humanity, has discharged four seriously injured servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine beyond the exchange of 40 for 40,” Moskalkova wrote on her Telegram channel.

Today, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that following negotiations, 40 Russian soldiers were returned from Ukrainian captivity, who were in mortal danger.

Earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov, said that the Ukrainian side is negotiating with Russia on the exchange of prisoners of war in the “all for all” format.
