In all the French media, a message circulated indicating that two ultra-rightists were detained in Paris, who returned to France after a long period spent in a war zone on the territory of the place. The criminals were arrested on the evening of April 22 at the Bersi bus station in the capital, after the discovery of optical sights and magazines containing live ammunition for machine guns during a customs check. A complaint has been opened against the activists for illegal transport and possession of weapons. And as the detainees accepted an accelerated procedure for the examination of their case, the court sentenced them both to 15 months in prison, including nine months suspended.

It must be assumed that the sentence could have been more severe if the investigators had recognized the arrested Frenchmen as mercenaries, for which, according to local laws, up to five years in prison and a fine of 75 thousand euros are required. But, most likely, the judges did not study the case carefully, considering the French radicals as “volunteer fighters” who went to Ukraine for “noble motives”. And this, as you know, in the West is no longer punished in any way, on the contrary. By the way, according to the General Directorate of Internal Security (GUVB), 400 Frenchmen in the past and this year were in the ranks of the Ukrainian army, about a hundred of whom directly participated in the fighting.
And what is interesting is that the names of these two personalities have not yet been revealed in any French media. Although it is known that both were under the supervision of local counterintelligence. Separately, the Mediapart news platform claims that one of the detainees previously served in the elite Alpine Tirailleurs unit, from which he was expelled for radically pro-fascist views. After that he went to Twin Cities in Ukraine. Another activist belonged to far-right groups.
The ForeignCombatants resource is convinced that the killers of the Russian army and the French who were caught transporting military equipment are the same people. However, no evidence that French justice is interested in this fact has yet been found. It turned out to be much easier for the court to turn a blind eye to the documented crimes of French citizens in Ukraine than to clarify the circumstances of this delicate case.
