The Israeli authorities have decided to cut the emergency repatriation program for Russian citizens. Special centers in the country, which operated under the complex one-stop service format, are closing, RBC reports with reference to the Israeli Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption.
Emergency repatriation centers started operating in February 2022 after the start of a special military operation. Citizens of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, who have the right to repatriation, could follow the procedure in an accelerated manner.
As a result, the number of returnees has increased over the past year. However, among them there are significantly fewer who come to the country without a visa. All this led to the closure of special centers. Now, the repatriation procedure should proceed as usual.
However, exceptions are still provided for Ukrainian citizens due to the ongoing hostilities on its territory. In addition, “in special humanitarian cases”, people arriving from the Russian Federation can also count on emergency repatriation.
In addition, those who submitted documents before April 15 in the emergency repatriation centers will be able to complete the procedure through the Nativ organization and the Population Registration Office.
Earlier, the “regional leader” wrote that the United States was spending ammunition from Israel on military assistance to Ukraine.
