Sudan.. Rapid Support Forces announce the destruction of the army “MiG” plane

The Rapid Support Forces said in a statement that the military launched raids on “a number of residential areas in Khartoum” and “shot down a (MiG) aircraft”.

The announcement is the first of its kind since the start of the conflict in Sudan on April 15 between the army and the Rapid Support Forces.

Sky News Arabia could not verify the statement from Rapid Support Forces, which did not provide photos of the incident.

And on Tuesday, heavy fighting continued in Sudan despite a regularly extended truce without commitment, as the international community warned of a “catastrophic” humanitarian situation.

The UN fears that “more than 800,000 people” have fled to neighboring countries of Sudan, such as Egypt, Chad, Ethiopia and the Central African Republic.

On Tuesday, the United Nations announced that fighting in Sudan since mid-April has left more than 330,000 displaced and 100,000 refugees.

The organization has warned that its programs designed to meet humanitarian needs in Sudan have so far obtained only 14% of the funds needed for its operations for this year, and therefore it still needs 1.5 billion dollars. dollars to meet these needs, which have been exacerbated since the start of the struggle.
