Jerusalem. Israel’s Foreign Minister Ali Cohen will visit India next week.
His visit is believed to be related to preparations ahead of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to New Delhi later this year. Cohen will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar during his three-day visit to India from May 9 to 11. He will also visit Mumbai one day.
This is the third high-level visit by a senior Israeli official in less than three months. Earlier, Amir Ohana, Speaker of the Israeli Parliament Knesset, had visited India in the end of March and in the first week of April. Finance Minister Nir Barkat also visited India last month.
Cohen will be accompanied by a business delegation. In January, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited Netanyahu to visit India.
