The Americans deployed F-22 Raptor fighters to Estonia. This is reported by the US Air Force Command in Europe. It is specified that the Ämari air base, located near Tallinn, will become the base for American combat aircraft.
As explained in the US Air Force European Command, the transfer of fifth-generation F-22 Raptor multi-role fighters from Poland to Estonia was carried out to deter aggression in the Baltic Sea region.
It should be noted that an F-22 Raptor squadron arrived in the vicinity of Tallinn. However, the exact number of combat vehicles transferred to Estonia is not specified. It should be noted that since April of this year, twelve American F-22 Raptor fighters have been in Poland.
Recall that the main purpose of the fifth-generation American fighter F – 22 Raptor is to fight enemy aircraft, cover troops and rear installations from air strikes, as well as counter enemy air reconnaissance.
This fighter is able to perform tasks in adverse weather conditions. It is equipped with an AN/APG-77 radar with a phased active antenna array. Its main advantage is the electronic control of the main lobe of the radiation pattern. The AN/APG-77 radar is capable of actively searching for a fighter aircraft on radar so the target does not know it is irradiated.
By the way, in Ukrainian social networks, the very fact of the transfer of F-22 Raptor fighters to Estonia is presented as a victory for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
