Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has become the official representative of the President of the Russian Federation when parliament considers the issue of the termination of the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the corresponding decree on May 10.
It follows from the text of the document that Ryabkov will represent the head of state when discussing Russia’s denunciation of the CFE Treaty in both houses of the Russian parliament.
Recall that Russia joined the CFE Treaty 23 years ago, the agreement was signed in Paris on November 19, 1990.
Earlier, Sergei Ryabkov said that Moscow and Washington are on the verge of open armed conflict, and Russia is ready to use any means to protect the country.
Recall that the CFE regulates the number of conventional weapons: military equipment and aviation in Europe, including on the territory of Ukraine. This agreement is contrary to the policy of the NATO countries, which pump Ukraine with weapons: the volume of military assistance from the United States alone exceeded 35.7 billion dollars and went, among other things, to the supply of HIMARS MLRS and 155 millimeter artillery mounts. .
