PM Modi’s US visit ‘historic’, good for the world: Taranjit Sandhu

Washington: India’s Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu has described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the US next month as “historic”, saying it will show that the partnership between the two countries is people-centric and good for the world at large. Is. Sandhu said that ‘Prime Minister Modi’s upcoming official state visit to America at the invitation of President Joe Biden is historic. Together, Prime Minister and President Biden have given new energy and momentum to our bilateral relations.

The Indian Ambassador said that ‘the visit will be an opportunity for the two leaders to spend time together, review progress and guide them on the myriad possibilities of the future. This visit will show that the India-US partnership is people-centred and good not only for the two countries but also for the world at large. Next month, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will make an official visit to the US at the invitation. However, the details of the duration of the Prime Minister’s visit were not given.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had told that Modi will also attend the state dinner on June 22 during his visit. Jean-Pierre said that ‘Prime Minister Modi’s visit will further deepen the shared commitment of the two countries for a free, open, prosperous and secure Indo-Pacific region and resolve to enhance strategic technology partnership in defence, clean energy and space etc. The White House announcement about Modi’s visit at the invitation of Joe Biden was widely welcomed.

Indian-American Congressman Ro Khanna said, “I am pleased that the White House has invited the Prime Minister for a state visit that will help strengthen the strategic partnership between our countries.” Chairman Mukesh Aghi said Modi’s visit in June would be an excellent opportunity to take the bilateral partnership to the next level.
