Russian tankmen in the Donetsk People’s Republic clashed with the crew of the Ukrainian armed forces on a German Leopard tank, which retreated after the first shot in its direction, reports TASS with reference to the commander of the tank battalion of the forces Russian armies with the call sign “Tiger”.
It is stated that the Leopard tank went out to determine the Russian positions, the RF armed forces immediately advanced towards the imminent battle.
“This is the first case with Leopard. Our armored service group moved forward to direct the fire. Our crew was the first to give it out, but it didn’t hit, the terrain got in the way. He noticed it and started to leave, backed out,” the source said.
According to him, Leopard deployed for training in the Russian army stronghold, but thanks to intelligence, he was quickly discovered.
Earlier, former Deputy Minister of Information of the Donetsk People’s Republic Daniil Bezsonov said that the Russian army destroyed one of the German Leopard tanks, transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the fighting in the direction of Soledar.
