France does not provide Ukraine with weapons that would allow it to attack Russia and reach its territory, said the country’s leader, Emmanuel Macron.

The politician also added that the training of Ukrainian pilots by the French army could start now. When asked if French military aircraft would be used for these purposes, Macron said there were no taboos here.

“We have opened the door to pilot training with several other European countries who are also willing to do so. I think negotiations are underway with the Americans,” he said in an interview with TF1.

Responding to a question about the supply of fighter jets to Ukraine, Macron said he did not discuss this issue with Zelenskyy during his visit.

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Paris on Sunday evening May 14.
