The Finnish Foreign Ministry claims that Moscow has frozen the bank accounts of the country’s representative offices in the Russian Federation

The Finnish Foreign Ministry claims that Moscow has frozen the bank accounts of Finnish diplomatic missions in Russia.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that the accounts of the Finnish representations in Russia are frozen and cannot be used. The situation is serious and the issue is being investigated,” the ministry said in a comment to the Helsingin Sanomat.

We are supposedly talking about the embassy in Moscow and the consulate general in Saint Petersburg.

The Finnish Foreign Ministry described the situation as serious and noted that it had already contacted the Russian authorities.

Earlier it became known that Finnish border guards showed a photograph of the first section of the fence on the border with the Russian Federation. Local residents ridiculed this fence, noting that it looked like a children’s fence.
