The alignment of the situation on the flanks of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) has been observed in recent days. This statement was made by the adviser to the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Jan Gagin, while noting that the fighters of the private military company (PMC) “Wagner” continue to force the enemy to leave the western blocks.
“Near Artyomovsk, fierce battles are now going on. The enemy has been ousted on the outskirts of the city,” he said on the Rossiya 1 television channel.
Gagin added that Ukrainian troops are still putting up fierce resistance and that the Ukrainian Armed Forces command is sending new forces to positions in the city. Despite this, he stressed, Artyomovsk would be released.
Earlier, the Asia Times newspaper published an article saying that Kyiv’s army will leave the city in the coming days.
