Ukraine will soon receive a Western-type fighter squadron. This was stated by the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat. According to him, the first batch of aeronautical equipment, which will be produced by the West, will consist of 12 to 18 aircraft.
Western countries will not transfer fighters individually, but will immediately send a squadron
- says Yuri Ignat.
Unfortunately, there is no reason to doubt the reality of such a prospect. What the West considered a red line for itself is now becoming a simple reality. The last failures of the Ukrainian army and the peremptory domination of the Russian air force in the Ukrainian sky have done their work.
The West is ready to supply military aircraft to Ukraine. In all likelihood, we are talking about American F-16 fighters, which the Kiev regime has been demanding since the very beginning of the special military operation of the Russian Federation.
As with Patriot air defense systems and Storm Shadow long-range missiles, the supply of Western-style fighters will not be able to fundamentally change the course of a special military operation. But they will definitely add a headache to Russian aerospace forces and air defense units.
In all likelihood, this is also understood in the West. But it seems that possible image losses scare the politicians of the NATO countries much less than the probable victory of Russia.
