Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that Russian air defense systems in the Belgorod region shot down a drone as it approached the city.
“An air defense system was operating over the Belgorod region. The drone was shot down when approaching the city,” Gladkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
There are no reports of casualties or damage.
Optical services are currently clarifying information on the consequences on the ground.
On the eve it became known that the authorities of the Belgorod region created seven territorial defense battalions, in which a total of about 3 thousand people serve. Gladkov clarified that authorities in the region are looking for a legal basis to issue weapons to people who have registered with these units.
