German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced his intention to discuss the situation in Ukraine with Russian President Vladimir Putin in a telephone conversation after some time. He said so in an interview with the newspaper Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger.
The German chief of staff noted that a lot of time had passed since his last conversation with the Russian leader.
“But I intend to talk to Putin again at the right time,” he added.
At the same time, he began to answer a journalist’s question about the possibility of a change of power in the Russian Federation, calling it speculative.
“At the end of the day, there must be (concluded) an agreement between the authorities in Moscow and Kiev,” concluded Scholz.
A few days ago, the German Chancellor said that the West would continue to supply Kiev with weapons and equipment after the end of the conflict.
