No entry of private vehicles in New Delhi from tomorrow, do not go on these routes; see traffic advisory

The New Delhi area has been declared as a controlled area by the traffic police on Sunday in view of the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building.

Entry of private vehicles will not be allowed in New Delhi area due to the large number of VIPs and VVIPs involved in the inauguration programme. There will be a ban here from 5:30 in the morning till around 4 in the evening.

Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory regarding the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House. The traffic police has said in this that many dignitaries are going to come to attend the inauguration ceremony on 28th. During this, special traffic arrangements have been made to keep the traffic smooth. In this sequence, New Delhi district has been kept in the controlled area.

According to the traffic police, Mother Teresa Crescent Road, Talkatora, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Gol Dak Khana, Ashok Road, Patel Chowk, Windsor Place, Janpath, Akbar Road, Teen Murti Marg etc. will be considered as regulated areas. Only civil service aspirants, local residents, those with prior permission and emergency vehicles will be allowed to move in the entire area.

Security tight, information will be available on Twitter In view of the ceremony, there will be tight security around the new Parliament House. Wrestlers have announced Mahila Panchayat here, due to which the security system has been tightened. Delhi Traffic Police will also keep giving information to the people through its Twitter handle so that the drivers do not face any kind of trouble. Although motorists have been advised not to come here, but if anyone has to come to New Delhi area in case of emergency, they will be told an alternate route. The traffic police has appealed to the people for cooperation.

Which vehicles will be exempted

Only public transport vehicles, civil service candidates, local residents, pre-sticker vehicles and emergency vehicles will be allowed during the inauguration ceremony. Private vehicle will not be given entry. The traffic police has appealed to the general public and the drivers to cooperate with the personnel in maintaining the traffic system smoothly and follow the instructions given patiently.
