Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

“We have a problem with eggs in our country.” Prigozhin on Governor Gladkov’s response to DRC operatives who offered to take the prisoners

Wagner PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin said prisoners must be taken away even if “terrorists” express a desire to return them. So, he commented on the response of the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, to the proposal to withdraw captured Russians from the “Russian Volunteer Corps” (RDK, which is part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a defense unit territorial) fighting on the side of Ukraine.

“The terrorists have presented their demands. If they are ready to give the prisoners away for free, as they say, then why not take them away? And how can we assume that they are dead or not? What if they’re alive? And if their mothers are at home, are they waiting for them to return? Prigogine said (recording his statement son press service of the company “Concord”).

“Somebody must have balls. We have a problem with eggs in our country… Whoever goes to get the prisoners, he’s not going to pay respect to them.

Do not gild, donate territory or transfer weapons. He just has to go get these guys or die a hero.

But then the country must be ready to destroy everything around these terrorists,” Prigozhin said.

RDK Proposal

The “Russian Volunteer Corps”, on Sunday June 4, launched an appeal to the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov. A statement appeared on the RDK social network that the participants of this training on the occasion of the feast of the Holy Trinity would be ready to hand over Russian prisoners to the head of the region, provided that he comes to the meeting.

According to the RDK participants, they are ready to hand over the prisoners – “mere Russian soldiers” – “as a sign of goodwill”, and in return they want to talk with Gladkov “personally”. They invited the governor “for a dialogue within the walls of the Novaya Tavolzhanka church.”

Gladkov himself replied that he had seen this “conversion of scoundrels, scoundrels, murderers and fascists.” The governor announced that sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRG) had entered the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka – according to him, a battle was taking place there.

Gladkov expressed the opinion that the prisoners, most likely, had already been killed. At the same time, he agreed to meet with representatives of the RDK in order to take the prisoners, if they were alive. Rules, the head of the region called a meeting not in the church, but at the Shebekino car checkpoint, adding that security “guarantees”.

Prior to Gladkov’s statement, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of Wagner PMC, expressed his willingness to take the prisoners. He turned to RDK commander Denis Kapustin*, saying that if no one came to pick up the prisoners, he was “ready to send one of his high-ranking deputies”.
