President Vladimir Putin’s “emergency call”, broadcast by radio stations in several regions of Russia, is a fake and the result of “hacking”. On this subject declared press attaché to the head of state Dmitry Peskov.

Authorities of the Voronezh region assured that “the situation in the region continues to be controlled by the authorities and the forces of order”, therefore “there is no cause for concern”.
Operational headquarters of the Belgorod region urged locals to stay calm and trust only reliable sources. “The purpose of the message is to sow panic among the peaceful inhabitants of Belgorod. <...> In the event of an emergency, all operational information will be promptly published in operational headquarters accounts and other official sources,” the headquarters said in a statement.
In January 2023, following a similar hack, a speech by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy aired on TV-3, STS, TNT and other TV channels in some regions and localities.
