This conference comes to bring together the second largest economies in the world, with the richest source of energy, which leads to the opening of markets and the promotion of capital in mutual funds which offer security for the expansion of major projects. The Arabs and China have explored the opportunities between each other for more than two decades, so this conference has come to help many Arab countries to develop their projects, and in return they have obtained from China the most important infrastructure with the highest level of technology, exceeding what Europe dreams of. Today, the Arabs and China seek trade partnerships, richer markets, and treaties dominated by parity and mutual benefit. What China provides to the Arabs is a cluster of industries, the most important of which are renewable energy, artificial intelligence, biotechnology and tourism. In turn, the Arab world provides sources of energy and raw materials that China lacks.

political rapprochement

This conference follows the political rapprochement between China and the Arab countries, following the holding of the first Arab-Chinese summit by the leaders of the Arab States members of the League of Arab States and China, last December.

At that time, it was agreed to work with all efforts to build the Arab-Chinese community for a common future towards the new era, to strengthen solidarity and joint cooperation, to strengthen exchanges between China and Arab countries in various dimensions and levels, and to unite their efforts to address common development challenges.

It is expected that the second day of the conference will be marked by a number of keynote speeches from Arab and Chinese heads of government, as well as specialized workshops that cover several topics, in addition to supply chains for oil and gas, innovation and research partnerships, challenges and solutions for global trade supply chains, mining and manufacturing.

It should be noted that China’s foreign direct investment in the Arab world will reach around $23 billion in 2021.
