Military blogger Mikhail Zvinchuk, author of the Rybar telegram channel, complaints that near the city of Kremennaya (LPR), the Russian army was attacked by HIMARS missiles after waiting for the commander on the parade ground for two hours. There has been no official information about this from the Russian Ministry of Defense or the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). However, Rybar’s message is actively discussed by other military channels, military correspondents and bloggers.
“Rybar” writes that the blow would have been dealt to the soldiers of “one of the divisions which were going to go on the offensive”, and before that “the crowd stood in the same place for two hours and waited for the commander of division speaks his motivating word.”
“In the direction of Yuzhnodonetsk, in a few days there were fewer casualties in the fighting than from the criminal stupidity of the division commander,” the channel says.
Several telegram channels have published data indicating the identity of the commander, which can presumably be discussed. In particular, the channel “Turn on the Z war” job photo of the commander of the 20th Combined Arms Army, Major General Sukhrab Akhmedov, who took office in December 2022. The author of the Romanov Light Telegram Channel alludes to him when writing : “It would seem, what does the same Ah///dov have to do with it?” Akhmelov is directed directly to the Gray Zone Telegram channel, which is associated with the Wagner PMC.
If we talk about Akhmedov, then his “immediate superior” obviously means Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, who since October 5, 2022 has been the commander of the troops of the Eastern Military District.
Rustam Muradov is from the village of Chinar in the Derbent region of Dagestan. Since 2018 he has been deputy commander of the Southern Military District, and from November 2020 to September 2021 he commanded the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh. In the summer of 2022, the Ministry of Defense officially appointed Muradov as the commander of the Vostok troop group. In February 2022, Muradov was subject to EU sanctions.
Voenkor Kirill Fedorov in his telegram channel reminded the day before, on June 13, a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who in an interview with military journalists and bloggers admitted that the fighting in Ukraine had exposed many prosecutors of generals in the ranks of the army Russian.
“Yesterday Putin was talking about the inefficiency of the generals of the prosecution, and today they are already reporting that today in the Kremennaya region a blow was struck at the units of one of the divisions that were waiting for a Division Commander’s speech. <…> As they say, the responsibility lies, among others, with the commander of the 20th army, General Akhmedov, who managed to achieve fame with Muradov near Ugledar,” Fyodorov commented on the messages of his colleagues.
Military Observer Sergei Kolyasnikov (ZERGULIO) opined that on this occasion “the military prosecutor’s office should rustle with an electric broom”, but, “so far it is tight, so there will most likely be furious revelations from worthless military correspondents, who again blur the happy image of reports with photos.”
He recalled that in the fall of 2022, the names of Akhmedov and Muradov were mentioned in the story of servicemen of the 155th marine brigade of the Pacific Fleet, who in early November addressed to the Governor of the Primorsky Territory, Oleg Kozhemyako, with a request. to help.
The message, which was posted on their behalf on social networks, says that due to the actions of the command, the brigade suffered heavy losses during the battles for the village of Pavlovka in the DPR. Voenkor Alexander Sladkov then writing “The Marines ask Oleg Kozhemyako to contact the Ministry of Defense to send a commission to urgently analyze the situation. There are three high profile names in the letter, I know, but I’m not quoting.
After the appeal was published, Kozhemyako asked the military prosecutor’s office to verify its contents, suggesting that it could be a “stuff from the Ukrainian special services”. On November 7, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that casualties among the Marines of the 155th Separate Guards Brigade did not exceed 1% of combat personnel killed and 7% wounded. The strength of the 155th Guards Brigade was not specified.
On Nov. 8, Kozhemyako posted on his Telegram channel the same videos he said were filmed by Marines and volunteers from the Tiger Detachment. On the same day, he posted another message, in which he called the video’s authors’ statements about the losses “exaggerated”. Speaking of this, the seaside governor referred to the commanders, whom he said contacted to verify the information.
