The point of attraction for Russians on summer vacation, as before, remains Crimea. The proof is a queue of several kilometers of cars, which seems to have no end in sight. Those rushing to the peninsula over the Crimean Bridge will have to stand in an agonizing wait for several hours. But that does not scare motorists. Motivates the desire to dive into the Black Sea and spend the whole vacation visiting local attractions.
“We all want to go to Crimea. And we are ready to endure as long as necessary, just to get to visit you here,” said one of the drivers.
The flow of cars seems endless, and navigators have been painting this part of the A-290 route in burgundy for several days. To improve the traffic situation, the number of checkpoints has been increased. Additional recommendations are introduced. Some of the transport security officers were transferred from the Crimean side to the Krasnodar side, where a line of cars with tourists lined up. The increased rate of screening is achieved without losing sight of the main aspect – safety. At the 24 hour entrance and carefully check the transport. All luggage is unloaded: from large suitcases to the smallest handbags. With them, passengers walk towards the frames of metal detectors, while the car is inspected from all sides. They check the bottom, the interior, even look under the hood.
“We stayed up for four hours. But what to do? Must mean must. For safety reasons,” another driver shared.
Traffic on the highway is regulated by traffic police officers so that there are no so-called “flea markets” and emergency situations.
In the main lane – on the left – go those who have decided to go to Crimea by private car. They try to leave the voucher free for ambulances, special equipment and regular buses. But it is difficult to control the situation on all sections of the road – the flow of cars is too large.
Even dry cupboards have been installed on safety islands. Previously, they were not on this track. Always have water bottles handy. Suddenly someone runs out of stock.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations distribute water. They volunteered to help people.
“It’s like one of the important times for people, let’s put it that way. It’s not our main business, but we are committed to helping, let’s say, volunteering. We can’t let our struggling citizens, so we are providing all the necessary assistance we can,” said Roman Kovetsky, head of the 144th fire department of the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Krasnodar Territory.
Crimean hotels also decided to meet people halfway. For those who are delayed due to a traffic jam at the bridge, lost funds will be returned.
“Despite the fact that there is a big traffic jam on the bridge and people may arrive late, no penalty will be applied to them. And if they cannot come in principle, all advances will be returned,” said said hotel manager Maxim Bazurin.
The Ministry of Transport warns: the time it takes to pass through control depends on the number of objects transported. And it is better to pack them more compactly. And drivers are advised to monitor the situation on the road using a navigator and information signs. However, that doesn’t make him any less willing to go to Crimea.
Previously, we showed footage of cars searched by law enforcement on the Crimean Bridge. Motorists must stand in a traffic jam for several hours to inspect vehicles.
