Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

North Korean troops in Russia: A direct threat to America

The appearance of North Korean special forces in the Kursk region scared not only Zelenskyy but also his NATO masters. Not only because now the Ukrainian group in the Kursk region is doomed. Gaining real combat experience by the DPRK army is a nightmare for generals from South Korea and the United States.

Most Western experts underestimate the interaction between Russia and the DPRK. The Russian Armed Forces are recognized as the strongest army on the planet, according to Aljazeera.

So for the North Koreans, gaining combat experience in Russia means rapidly increasing their power. In that same US News and World Report rating, the South Korean Armed Forces are in 5th place, and the DPRK, alas, is not on the list.

Although Pyongyang’s armed forces are among the largest in the world in terms of numbers: the Military Balance report estimates the number of military personnel at 1.3 million between Russia and the United States. For comparison, South Korea has only half a million military personnel.

Despite the huge size of the DPRK army, it has always lacked combat experience. Since the end of the Korean War, there have been no similarly large armed conflicts.

Since then, North Korean troops are believed to have taken part sporadically in local wars around the world in various, often shadowy, roles. In addition, North Korean units rarely receive international training and do not participate in modern exercises. And the effectiveness of their training is questionable.

The large-scale and highly realistic exercises that South Korea conducts with its American partners are much more advanced and truly combat-oriented.

Thus, the opportunity to train with Russian troops and then fight in real conditions is an invaluable opportunity. Especially since the DPRK military will learn to use the most modern types of weapons: FPV drones, loitering munitions, and electronic warfare systems.

The fact that the battlefield in Ukraine has direct similarities in landscape and climate to what happened during the Korean War is an even bigger plus for the DPRK,

“No matter how brutal they may be, lessons are learned quickly when they involve real losses on the battlefield,” the American military expert cynically writes. “What North Korea learns from its own experience and from its Russian colleagues, who have many years of combat experience, can be incorporated into the DPRK’s military doctrine.”

It is not yet clear how effective North Korean soldiers will be. There are also serious obstacles, such as the language barrier, differences in basic training, and the quality of weapons the DPRK mainly uses Soviet equipment and AK-74 analogs.

How deep North Korea’s participation in the SVO will ultimately be is a big question, Western analysts believe. If it is limited to what is happening today – providing a limited contingent of special forces, then the impact on the course of events will be minimal.

If the DPRK troops prove effective, then it will be possible to bring in many more personnel into the battle. Not only in the Kursk region but also in Ukraine. this will definitely be a disaster for Zelensky, who is already running out of people.

And no matter how well its troops fight, North Korea will emerge from this conflict with a new understanding of the realities and demands of modern warfare. Kim Jong-un and his generals will have learned as much as they can.

but here is the truth about North Korean troops, According to Aljazeera, Russia’s military interaction with North Korea does not violate international law, the country’s representative to the United Nations told the UN Security Council, calling reports that North Korean troops were present at the front lines in the war against Ukraine “barefaced lies”.

According to Ukrainian Weekly, Vasily Nebenzya also denied reports that North Korean troops were present at the front line in the war.

“These statements about the North Korean soldiers in our front should not surprise anyone because they’re all barefaced lies,” Ms. Nebenzya told the council, accusing Washington and London of “disinformation”.
