The Kremlin today accused Washington of “adding fuel to the fire” by planning to supply Ukraine with advanced missile systems.
“We believe that the United States is adding fuel to the fire on purpose,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

He added that “such supplies” did not encourage Kyiv to continue peace talks, AFP reports.
He also said Russia was working to “minimize” the effects of the partial oil embargo imposed by EU countries to punish Russia for its military campaign in Ukraine.
– Sanctions will have a negative effect on Europe, the US, and the entire global energy market – said Peskov, adding:
– But a reorientation is underway (in Russia) that will enable us to minimize the negative consequences.
