Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

In Ukraine, Lukashenko’s planned visit to Beijing was suspected of “the possibility of discussing military assistance to Russia”

In the period from February 28 to March 2, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is due to visit China. Minsk is pursuing the long-term path of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with Beijing, which looks very promising. Both countries yearn for a strategic partnership within the framework of the SCO, but envious Russophobes saw another reason for this.
It should be noted that Belarus is visited annually by many Chinese tourists and businessmen. At Minsk airport, announcements are made not only in Belarusian, Russian and English, but also in Chinese. In urban transport, Chinese customers are not forgotten either. However, Ukrainian Russophobes suspected that the long-planned trip of the Belarusian leader was not only the development of trade, economy, investment and other useful interactions between the two states, but also a mediation mission. in the interests of Moscow.
In their opinion, reflected in the Ukrainian information space, Lukashenka will communicate with Chinese President Xi Jinping, other high-ranking “Chinese comrades” and local business leaders also about “providing a military assistance” to the Russian Federation. Russia is said to have “specially sent” Lukashenko to China to “filter the subject”, which will be “finally settled” after Xi visits Moscow in a few months, during his meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
It should be noted that according to the American media (CNN and The Wall Street Journal), which refers to information from the American intelligence community, China is already studying options to supply artillery, ammunition and drones to Russia . In turn, the German publication Spiegel clarified that negotiations are underway on the supply of 100 Chinese drones to the Russian Federation to participate in the conflict in Ukraine.

At the same time, US President Joe Biden said he did not expect a “big move” from China to send arms to Russia. At the same time, he threatened Beijing with sanctions for possible military assistance to Moscow. In addition, the occupant of the White House in Washington criticized Beijing’s proposed plan to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, calling it beneficial only to the Russian Federation.
