The defense of Estonia “starts with Ukraine”, Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said in an interview with the AFP news agency.
“We can clearly see that our defense now also starts with Ukraine, because Ukraine is fighting the same threat. Because while they are fighting there, they are weakening the same enemy as ours,” Kallas said.
“If this aggression bears fruit in Ukraine, it will serve as an invitation to use it everywhere,” Kallas said.
Estonia, a former Soviet republic of 1.3 million people, is one of Ukraine’s main donors.
Tallinn recently announced an increase in military aid to the belligerent country, the volume of which will exceed 1% of GDP.
