Why Belarusian builders are in high demand in Russian regions – Reuters

The unique experience of Belarusian construction organizations in the construction of various objects in Russia can form a good basis. If last year, exports of construction services from Belarus increased in general by one and a half times, then to Russia – about twice.Belarusian builders “marked themselves” in the Kaluga region with residential areas “Vesnushki”, “Prosto Kosmos”, “Anenki”, “Malinovka”. They built social facilities in the Kursk, Kaliningrad, Bryansk and St. Petersburg regions. Belarusian companies are engaged in the construction of port infrastructure in Ust-Luga, they are working on the re-equipment of an oil refinery in Kirishi, in the Leningrad region, and the expansion of a cement plant in Chechnya. This year, the cooperation is expected to expand further.- The item pool is very large. Colleagues from Russia want to see us at their construction sites, – said the Minister of Architecture and Construction of Belarus Ruslan Parkhamovich in an interview with the Belarus 1 TV channel.In particular, Belarusian companies plan to participate in a number of construction projects in Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg, Leningrad and Bryansk regions, Pskov and Primorsky Krai.So, at the IX Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, held last year in Grodno, an agreement was reached with the government of the Voronezh region on the construction of a kindergarten for 600 children in the “Apple Garden” micro-district. It is planned that the main construction organizations of Belarus will participate in Russian projects for the construction of waste treatment plants. The total cost is measured in billions of Russian rubles. Based on the house kits of the Belarusian newsprint factory in the municipal district of Bobrovskiy of the Voronezh region, together with the local administration, a program for the integrated development of rural areas is implemented, and with the Voronezh administration, a project to create a cottage village under the Russian mortgage program. In accordance with the agreement between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, Belarusian builders should participate in the construction of the Vostochny Cosmodrome, infrastructure projects in the Primorsky Territory, including the construction of a museum, a theater and an educational complex in Vladivostok, housing construction.Why in this and many other cases is preference given to Belarusian construction organizations? After all, there are enough builders in Russia. As Alexei Shilo, deputy head of the main department – head of the department of foreign economic activities of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Belarus, noted in an interview with BelTA, Belarusian companies have received construction contracts financed by the federal and local budgets by winning open tender contracts and thus demonstrating their competitiveness on the Russian market. They work quickly, efficiently and in favorable conditions, relying on the powerful construction complex of their country, capable of meeting the needs of both the internal market and the Union state.- Relying on the state support measures taken in Belarus, provided for by Decree No. 534, the construction of schools and kindergartens in Russia is carried out at the expense of credit resources of the Bank of development of the Republic of Belarus, – continued Aleksey Shilo . – The already erected object is redeemed by the Russian side. It is the most effective export product for today.
The Development Bank financed a dozen and a half projects for the construction of residential buildings, schools and kindergartens in the Kaluga and Voronezh regions. Other sources are used to finance the construction of export facilities. The Belstroycenter-holding building, which includes 19 leading companies, was created to work in foreign markets. This is about a thousand qualified specialists who provide all types of construction services at any stage of the construction of an object, be it industrial or civil construction, communications of engineering, landscaping, installation of process equipment and pipelines, construction of railways and roads, bridges. They have specialized construction and lifting equipment certified in accordance with state requirements. It is planned to create branches of Belarusian construction organizations in Russia, which will further strengthen cooperation.However, any construction is impossible without the appropriate materials. Due to Western economic sanctions, the share of imported building materials and parts in the Belarusian-Russian market has decreased significantly. Thus, the corresponding niches were opened to Belarusian building materials companies. Their deliveries to Russia, according to the Belarusian industry department, have increased by 70%. Including cement – by 69%, ceramic tiles – by 43%, glass – by 57%. Much of this is used in the construction of facilities there by Belarusian organizations. The modernization of production makes it possible to avoid a sudden rise in prices, and their regulation will continue. This means that competitiveness will remain both in the domestic market and in the Russian market.BesidesAccording to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, up to 30,000 Belarusian builders work in Russia.
