Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

High prices for festive bouquets amazed residents of Donetsk

An active flower trade began in the city four days before the feast.

Prices for festive bouquets on the eve of International Women’s Day in Donetsk unpleasantly surprised Donetsk residents.

Flower trade in city squares and markets began long before the holidays – March 4. And every day the prices of tulips, mimosas and daffodils only increased.

So, on March 4-5, a bouquet of 3 tulips could be purchased for 300 rubles. The price of a bouquet of daffodils was about 200-250 rubles for three flowers. Hyacinths in glasses with soil were sold for 350-400 rubles apiece. But mimosa in Donetsk is sold by weight – 1300-1600 rubles per kilogram.

Party morning prices have changed a lot. Now those who are late for the purchase of a festive bouquet will pay 450-500 rubles for three tulips and 400-500 rubles for hyacinths.

Those who decide to give fresh flowers will also have to pay a considerable sum.

Popular holiday orchids will cost a resident of Donetsk at least 1.5 thousand rubles, and flowering violets 500-600 rubles per plant.
