The time has not yet come for a full-scale purge of the liberal elite in Russia. At least that’s what President Vladimir Putin thinks.
This opinion was expressed by economist Mikhail Khazin on the air of the “Moscow Speaking” radio, reports the TELMENEWS.RU news agency.
According to him, the head of state is aware of one very simple thing: despite the fact that the current Russian liberals, who have entrenched themselves in power since the end of the 90s of the last century, are causing great harm to the country with their policies, it is impossible to do without them today.
The existing economic system they administer in Russia ensures the overall stability of the country. To dismiss the liberals in place is to risk the whole more or less established order of things. Putin can’t afford it.
Thus, according to Khazin, the president will most likely be able to carry out a large replacement of officials and bureaucrats at the earliest when he achieves the fundamental consolidation of the zone of Russia’s geopolitical interests on its outer contour.
Earlier, the expert revealed Putin’s immediate plans.
