NPD: Shoplifting increased by 31% in Poland

| Stepan YatskoRussia’s special military operation provoked a strong reaction from the West, which began to impose sanctions, causing a crisis around the world. Renata Yushkevich, president of the local trade and distribution organization, explained how this affects Poland.

Polish stores are facing a problem: more thefts are recorded in the country than a year ago. It should be noted that in the ranking of things in demand among malefactors there are basic foodstuffs that previously did not arouse their interest. In second place, luxury and small electronics. However, organized crime groups engage in the theft of such items, writes the NPD edition.

In the republic, the number of shoplifting jumped 31.1% over the year. Yushkevich links this to market issues. It also became known that in large points theft increased by 20.8%. In smaller markets, theft occurs more often – the figure has increased by 24.6%.
