Qatar Chamber signs a cooperation agreement with the Chinese Center for International Trade

Today, Qatar Chamber signed a cooperation agreement with the Chinese Center for International Trade.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Tawar Al Kuwari, First Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, on the part of the Chamber, and on the part of the Center, Mr. Zhu Shi Jia, President of the Chinese Center for International Trade. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the two sides, promote events in the two countries, exchange visits and others.

The signing of the agreement came today on the sidelines of the meeting of the First Vice-Chairman of the Qatar Chamber with Mr. Zhu Shijia, President of the Chinese Center for International Trade (CFTC) and Secretary-General of the International Canton Fair, where the meeting dealt with a review of cooperation relations between the two sides, and ways to enhance trade between businessmen in Qatar and China.

Bin Tawar said that the People’s Republic of China is an important investment destination for Qatari businessmen, and that they are interested in learning about the investment opportunities available in China, and in Guangzhou in particular. He also indicated that there is an opportunity for the private sector in Qatar and China to enter into business partnerships and benefit from the enormous potential. Which countries enjoy, bin Tawar stressed the Qatar Chamber’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the Chinese side and to invite the Qatari private sector to attend major economic events in China.

For his part, Mr. Zhu Shi Jia said that his visit aims to discuss trade relations between Qatari businessmen and their counterparts from China, and to invite the Qatari private sector in all its economic sectors to attend the Canton Fair International (Chinese Import and Export Fair), which will be held in Guangzhou, China this year, and is considered one of the most important The most important trade fairs in the world, pointing out that the 133rd edition of the exhibition attracts about 26 thousand companies, and more than three million visitors are expected to attend, and that a large number of events will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition.

He stressed that the exhibition will contribute to enhancing trade between Qatari and Chinese business owners, and will be an opportunity for both exporters and importers to meet and discuss business deals, and to get acquainted with the Chinese products present at the exhibition.
