Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Subaie, Minister of Municipality, on the sidelines of the activities of the Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition in its tenth edition, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Expo 2023 and the Qatar Basketball Association, which includes the promotion of the “Expo 2023 Doha” horticultural exhibition, which will be hosted by the State of Qatar during the period from 2 Next October until March 28, 2024, and the agreement was signed by Mr. Mohamed Saad Al-Mughisib, President of the Qatar Basketball Association, and Engineer Mohamed Al-Khoury, Secretary-General of Expo 2023 Doha, and according to this agreement, the EXPO 2023 Basketball Challenge Championship will promote this global exhibition, which is held for the first time in the region. The Gulf and the Middle East, and Mohammed Saad Al-Mughisib, President of the Qatar Basketball Association, said in a speech during the conference: We look forward, through this partnership, to support the exhibition’s goals regarding raising awareness among society and individuals of the importance of preserving the environment, combating desertification and reducing carbon emissions, in addition to strengthening cooperation the international community on the issue of climate change.
