Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

New Zealand government will help youths who are disheartened by breakup, know how…

The New Zealand government has launched a campaign to help young people who are disheartened by breakups in love relationships. Through this, a campaign is being run to save those youths of 16 to 24 years from depression. This campaign was started by Priyanka Radhakrishnan, Women Minister of Indian origin. The budget for this has been released by the government itself. According to New Zealand’s website RNZ, this campaign has many objectives. First of all, if the love relationship breaks, then our young generation can face these situations without getting depressed.

Apart from this, they are also being trained to become responsible family members and not indulge in any kind of domestic violence. This is the first government campaign of its kind in the world, for which the government is also giving funds. According to the British newspaper The Guardian, this campaign has been named Love Better. Young people who are upset about a breakup can contact Youthline via text, phone or email. For this, an initial budget of $ 6.4 lakh (about Rs 53 crore) has been kept.

Priyanka says, for this either we contact the youth or if they want they can contact our campaign team. We know how much breakup hurts. We help such youths to get through these difficult situations through breakup through video, text or podcast. This will make them more responsible citizens in future. They will neither harm themselves nor others. According to Priyanka, people who have gone through this phase in this healing period also give tips to the youth to avoid depression. There is no doubt that New Zealand has a significant number of young people who are troubled by break-ups and this is a shame for us as a country. A program of 40 points has been made for this.

Last year i.e. in 2022, Cantor Research Group had done a research on the youth who were victims of breakup. It was found that 80% of youth aged 16 to 24 are in a relationship. 87% of these are those who become victims of breakup. Most of them harm themselves in different ways. When this report of Riches Group reached Development Minister Priyanka Radhakrishnan, she said, youth are the future of the country. If they harm themselves, it will ultimately harm the country. Priyanka spoke to Family and Sexual Violence Prevention Minister Marama Davidson on this report. After this, this campaign was launched in Auckland by the Youthline Office.
