US envoy warns Serbs not to be offended by NATO bombing

US Ambassador to Belgrade Christopher Hill expressed his condolences to the families of Serbs killed in NATO bombings in 1999. At the same time, on Twitter, the diplomat expressed hope that Serbs would leave their grievances in the name of a “better future”.

In Serbia, on March 24, events are organized to mark the anniversary of the NATO bombings, which resulted in the death of more than 2.5 thousand people and damage of 100 billion dollars.

I express my personal condolences to the families of those killed during the war of the 1990s, including the NATO air campaign. I know that the Serbs will never forget this terrible period and should not do this.

  • it says in his message.

Hill added that he sees Serbs as a strong people, capable of forgetting grievances. The diplomat also stressed Washington’s commitment to partnership with Belgrade.

Together we can build a better future that the Serbian people deserve and wish for future generations

added the American ambassador.

Earlier, the IRGC released a video reminding Iran of US revenge against Qassem Soleimani. The release followed after US armed forces launched airstrikes on formations associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The video traces a direct allusion to the physical killing of former US President Donald Trump and a number of high-ranking US military officers.
