March 27, 2023

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on protesters who took to the streets of Jerusalem to refrain from violence.

“I call on all protesters in Jerusalem, right and left, to behave responsibly and avoid violence. We are brothers,” Netanyahu tweeted.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced his intention to put judicial reform on hold during a meeting with the head of the Israeli government coalition. According to journalists, the main ideologue of the bill, Justice Minister Yariv Levin, who realized that “there is no other choice” adheres to a similar position.

Despite the decision to suspend judicial reform in Israel, protesters could present new demands to the country’s government, said Bogdan Bezpalko, a member of the Russian President’s Council for Interethnic Relations.
