Russian President Putin made changes to the state program for the resettlement of compatriots

The national program for the resettlement of compatriots in force in the Russian Federation was amended by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The corresponding document is published on the legal information portal.

According to the amendments, applications for participation in the state program from compatriots living outside Russia will be accepted only if they speak Russian.

Compatriots will need to know the official language of the Russian Federation at a sufficient level to communicate orally and in writing in the conditions of the language environment of the Russian Federation. In addition, this change will affect a number of categories of foreign citizens.
