Doha Festival City, the premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Qatar, which recently launched its new logo, celebrates "This is my place, this is my choice", during the month of Ramadan through a wide range of educational and recreational activities that are suitable for children and adults. On this happy occasion, the mall presents a wonderful festive atmosphere, with messages that reflect the seven Islamic values that were focused on during the month, including honesty, patience, charity, generosity, and others. Educational messages are available to express each of these values in a dedicated pavilion. A children’s area will also be available in the entertainment hall of the mall, which includes a section for arts and crafts for making lanterns and swords, coloring mosques and making greeting cards, and a section for games, including backgammon, chess and giant Jenga cubes, and a section for storytelling at 3 different times, which are 7, 9 and 11 pm. With every corner of the mall turning into a learning opportunity during the holy month, Doha Festival City cooperated with Kahramaa Awareness Park to provide educational books that provide entertaining information on sustainability and ways to conserve electricity and water in the children’s area of the entertainment lobby. As part of its #FestivalCares initiatives, the mall also collaborated with Qatar Charity to present a toy donation box, whereby donations will be allocated to children in need, embodying the values of goodness and generosity for this holy month. In line with Ramadan traditions, the mall invites children from all over Qatar to celebrate the Garangao night that takes place in the middle of the month. This year, the celebration includes henna, free face painting, and garangao gifts, in addition to entertainment shows and activities for children to enjoy. Commenting on the occasion, Robert Hall, General Manager, Doha Festival City said: "We are happy to celebrate this blessed month with the Qatari community, as we offer every member of the family exclusive experiences and fun times. We look forward to sharing this happy occasion filled with meditation, generosity and noble values with our visitors, through many activities designed to suit adults and children.".
