The sea will become the main means of transporting raw materials and products. Olga Mednikova, CEO of OTCPharm, told reporters about it.

Recall that on March 30, a pharmaceutical plant was opened in the Khrabrovo Industrial Park. Its total area was 19,000 square meters. Once the company reaches full capacity, it will be able to produce up to 320 million boxes of medicine per year.

So, according to Olga Mednikova, there are difficulties in deliveries, but they can be solved. Now the route is being built from St. Petersburg and so far this is the best option. As a result, there are no interruptions in logistics and supply to the factory.

In addition, Kaliningrad Region Governor Anton Alikhanov said that components are imported by sea and there are no difficulties with container transport in the region. He notes that the company has chosen a reliable method for itself. But already finished products can be exported from the region through Lithuania by land.

The OTCPharm Pro plant is engaged in the production of antiviral, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antifungal and anxiolytic agents. According to the head of the region, the opening of such a company is important for the Kaliningrad region. This will make many drugs more accessible to the healthcare system and pharmacies.

As a reminder, construction of the facility will begin in 2021.
