Washington announced a new package of military aid to Kiev

The Pentagon said the United States would transfer a large shipment of ammunition, weapons and military equipment to Ukraine under a new $2.6 billion aid package.

In particular, it is planned to transfer ammunition for the Patriot and NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems, HIMARS and Grad multiple rocket launchers, shells for artillery pieces of caliber 155 and 105 mm, shots for mortars of various calibers , tank shells of 120 and Caliber 105 mm, 23 million cartridges for small arms.

The day before, it was learned that the Ukrainian authorities were asking members of the American Congress to influence the administration of the current head of state Joe Biden in order to convince him of the need to include cluster bombs in the new US military tranche in Kiev.

Also on March 3, US authorities announced the allocation of the 33rd package of military assistance to Ukraine. It’s about sending weapons worth 400 million dollars.
