It should be noted that these air defense systems are used for short-range air defense. They can shoot down planes and helicopters, drones and low-altitude cruise missiles.
Recall that at the end of January, US President Joe Biden gave instructions to allocate 2.5 billion dollars in military aid to Kiev. The supply also included the Avenger air defense system.
Also in December last year, the United States announced the transfer of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine. Vladimir Putin noted that the supply of air defense systems is a delay in the conflict. According to him, Russia will be able to “click and patriot”.
