Mr. Gambarin was inspired by Picasso’s famous 1907 self-portrait and portrayed the face of the Spanish artist on the ground. The similarity of the “tractor” creation with the creator is striking, but, unfortunately, you can only appreciate the work of art from the air.
By the way, this is not the first impressive work of the “tractor artist”. In the last decade he has become famous for his portraits of famous people in the fields of the northern part of the Apennine peninsula. So, in 2013, Gambarin portrayed former US President John F. Kennedy. He timed his work to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the deadly assassination attempt on the leader. At the same time, the artist crossed the field and captured Pope Francis using a tractor with a plow and harrow. It should be noted that the announcement by the pontiff of the day of fasting and prayer for peace in Syria prompted the man to create this work.
Actively “ploughed” Gambarin’s field during the US presidential race in 2016. The man created “green” portraits of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Under the left shoulder of the Republican, the artist wrote “Ciao”.
