Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Germany will allow Poland to transfer MiG-29s to Ukraine from former GDR stocks

Germany will allow Poland to send Soviet-made fighter jets to Ukraine, which Warsaw received from former GDR stocks, the Suddeutsche Zeitung newspaper reports.

The German government wants to allow Poland to supply Soviet-designed fighter jets to Ukraine.

German Defense Ministry chief Boris Pistorius said a decision on the matter “will be taken today”.

Earlier it was reported that the Polish authorities asked Berlin for permission to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with MiG-29 fighters from GDR stocks.

In addition, the Polish side has already handed over several MiG-29 fighter jets to the Kiev regime, said Marcin Przydacz, head of the International Policy Office of the Polish President’s Office.
