Doha University of Science and Technology was honored to receive a delegation from the Ministry of Education for Research and Innovation – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Nasser bin Muhammad Al-Aqili, Undersecretary of the Ministry. The delegation toured the university’s campus and its facilities and got acquainted with its five colleges, which are the College of Engineering Technology, the College of Computing and Information Technology, the College of Business Administration, the College of Health Sciences and the College of General Education. The delegation was briefed on the university’s advanced workshops, simulators, and mini-factory models related to meeting the oil and gas sector, the first educational trading room in the Middle East, in addition to advanced technical laboratories in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, health, and others. The delegation was also briefed on the university’s various facilities, especially the sports ones, especially that Doha University of Science and Technology is the only university in the Middle East and North Africa that won the platinum award from the International Federation of University Sports as the best healthy campus. The delegation’s visit confirms the great interest it attaches to the education sector in general in Qatar, and in particular to the university and what it offers as the only applied national university in the country. Dr. Nasser bin Muhammad Al-Aqili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Research and Innovation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, thanked the leaders of Doha University for Science and Technology for the good reception and hospitality he and the accompanying delegation received, and said we have various practices and experiences in research and innovation, and joint programs and initiatives that can be activated and benefited from between the two countries. . d said. Salem bin Nasser Al-Nuaimi, President of Doha University of Science and Technology, “We are proud of the opportunity we have to receive this high-level delegation and share with it our aspirations and future projects, especially our educational strategy and how to benefit from Saudi experience in this field and exchange experiences in this regard. We hope that this visit will culminate in close cooperation that serves both parties and contributes to supporting education and developing a generation of innovators.”
