In early April, global cruise innovator Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announced a collaboration with British digital artist Dominic Harris to create interactive artwork exclusively for Norwegian Viva, its new sister ship to NCL’s Norwegian Prima. .
Titled Every Wing Has a Silver Lining, featuring Harris’s iconic butterfly images, the artwork will be displayed at Norwegian Viva’s flagship Metropolitan Bar. Numerous silver-winged digital butterflies throughout the day will dynamically respond to passers-by and their movements, creating interaction with the viewer.
Every Wing Has a Silver Lining is Harris’ largest work in terms of physical dimensions – it is 52 feet long – making it one of the largest real-time digital interactive works of art that fully interact with the movements and touches of spectators and passers- by.

Ready to sail this summer, Norwegian Viva will present The Concourse, an impressive art exhibition on Ocean Avenue featuring six contemporary sculptures by eminent artists Kevin Box, Eric Levy and Sophie Elizabeth Thompson.
