Doha Port achieves a record tourist season, with 273,666 visitors arriving

announced "Mwani Qatar" Doha Port achieved a record tourist season, with 273,666 visitors arriving, an increase of 166 percent, on board 55 cruises, an increase of 62 percent compared to the previous season.

The current season witnessed the boarding of 19,400 tourists on flights departing from Doha, which confirms the role of the port in promoting marine tourism, in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 – according to Mwani Qatar.

It is noteworthy that the cruise sector in Qatar has contributed to strengthening Qatar’s position as a leading destination for marine tourism in the region, as the sector supports the growth of the national economy in Qatar by increasing tourism spending and providing more employment and business opportunities.

The new Doha Port passenger terminal can accommodate up to 12,000 passengers per day. The port is also strategically located in the heart of Doha, minutes away from some of the city’s most popular attractions, including the Qatar National Museum, Doha Corniche and Souq Waqif. .
