Young restorers study a 15th-century church in Pskov

Young restorers study the 15th-century Church of St. George Vzvoz in Pskov. This is reported by the telegram channel of ANO Vozrozhdenie.

Practical courses in painting restoration are given in the church as part of the Interregional Gathering of Young Restorers “Heirs of the Masters”. The kick-off of the educational project was given today, April 17.

The courses for young professionals are led by Tatyana Fedorenko, artist-restorer of monumental painting of the Interregional Administration of Scientific Art and Restoration, candidate for the history of art, in collaboration with an architect-restorer of the highest category, member of the Presidium of the Union. Russian restorers Alexander Uradovskikh.

Students learned by doing how to prepare a history, including information about previous restorations. They also tried to assess the state of conservation of the mural and to photograph the destruction.
