Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

communists nominate Gennady Zyuganov’s grandson as candidate for mayor of Moscow

This was stated by the First Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, State Duma Deputy Yuri Afonin.

The grandson of the leader of the Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov Leonid is recommended as a candidate for the election of the mayor of Moscow from the Communist Party. This was stated by the First Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, State Duma Deputy Yuri Afonin. According to him, Leonid is “a young, bright and promising candidate”.

The Deputy Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation noted that Leonid Zyuganov “behind two calls to the City Duma, he knows Moscow’s problems well and has support from inside the party. He is a young, bright and promising candidate who has enough authority and experience for such a campaign.

Therefore, the corresponding proposal of the personnel commission was submitted to the Presidium of the Party Central Committee. According to unofficial information, Leonid Zyuganov was also supported by his grandfather, the chairman of the Central Committee, for the nomination for mayor.

Leonid Zyuganov.

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation himself has held this position since 1995. He has been a deputy of the State Duma of all convocations since 1993. He ran four times for the post of Chairman of the Russian Federation, each time taking second place. It is possible that the characteristic of “being the second number” was transmitted at the genetic level from Gennady Andreevich to his grandson Leonid. Perhaps that is why the Communist Party decided to nominate him from the party as a candidate in the upcoming municipal elections in Moscow.

Elections will be held on Single Election Day in September this year. Now the post of mayor is occupied by Sergei Sobyanin, who was approved by the Moscow City Duma on the proposal of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on October 21, 2010. After that, Sobyanin was re-elected twice. In 2018, 70% of voters voted for his candidacy.

Leonid Andreevich Zyuganov was born on July 22, 1988. Father – Andrei Gennadievich Zyuganov – a specialist in robotics. He is in construction. Mother – Tatyana Yuryevna Zyuganova – engineer.

Leonid Zyuganov graduated from language gymnasium No. 1531. During his school years, along with his usual years, he studied at a music school in the class of wind instruments, played in brass and jazz bands. In an interview with Sobesednik, Leonid Zyuganov mentioned that he considered a career as a diplomat when he was 3 years old. Currently, he is a deputy of the Moscow City Duma of the VI convocation, chairman of the Committee on Science and Industry, since the fall of 2018 he leads the Communist Party faction in the State Duma of Moscow. In 2019, he again became a deputy in the Moscow Duma, after winning the elections in the 22nd district of the capital.

In the VK profile of future Sobyanin rival Leonid Zyuganov, the lines of Sergei Yesenin are written as a motto: “If the holy army shouts: ‘Throw you Rus’, live in paradise! I will say: “There is no need for paradise, Give me my homeland.”

At the end of last year, the grandson of Gennady Zyuganov was at the center of a criminal scandal: he was arrested by the police on Kutuzovsky Prospekt for not having paid for the purchase of gasoline at a station- service.

The Visionary Channel in Telegram writes about the nomination of Gennady Zyuganov’s grandson for the election of mayor of Moscow:

“Double shame! The Central Committee decided to limit itself to a single question which had not yet raised its hand: appointing the grandson of the Communist Party chairman, who is still too young and does not have the necessary authority in the organization. Localism was not welcome in the Soviet Union, which is the canon and “golden age” of the Communist Party. But modern mores are irresistibly infiltrating the archaic and traditionalist organization of the Communist Party. But this has never been displayed so clearly within the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.

“The finest hour” of grandfather Zyuganov came after the banning of the CPSU. In 1992, he participated in several patriotic opposition projects, such as the Russian National Cathedral and the National Salvation Front. In February 1993, a Communist Party Restoration Congress was held. Contrary to initial plans to elect Valentin Kuptsov, Gennady Zyuganov was elected president. It was the result of a dramatic move by General Albert Makashov, who demanded that Kuptsov not run as a candidate and support Zyuganov.

Having become the leader, Zyuganov pursued a policy that was extremely cautious in deeds and very daring in words. He never created any real problems for the authorities, and in 1996 he perfectly played the role of a horror story for Yeltsin’s re-election. Over the past twenty-five years, the Communist Party has racked up protest moods when voting in a way that is safe for the Kremlin. It is possible that now grandson Leonid will start a series of election campaigns, in which he will brilliantly and decisively take second place.
