Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Foreign Ministry urged to be ready for all scenarios after New START expires

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that after the expiration of the new START mandate, a vacuum in maintaining the stability of the strategy is not excluded, so it is necessary to be prepared for all scenarios.

The ministry also pointed out that the arms race, including in the field of missiles, is spiraling out of control.

The United States and Russia will embark on a nuclear race unless they approve a new agreement to replace the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) in the near future. This opinion is shared by the former UN inspector for the control of the elimination of nuclear weapons in Iraq, the ex-intelligence officer of the American navy Scott Ritter.
