In any case, they lose: Pushkov deciphered an important signal from the United States

October 3, 2025

Member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Alexei Pushkov commented on her Telegram channel, a statement by US Treasury Secretary Yellen, who called Washington’s break with Beijing a disaster.

“An important signal from Washington. The logic of maintaining US hegemony should eventually push the United States against China, but the logic of economic interdependence runs counter to the gap between them,” writes the parliamentarian.

Speaking about possible prospects for further developments, Pushkov noted that if the logic of economic interdependence prevails in the United States, the United States will have to sacrifice Taiwan, if the logic of hegemony, then its economy.

“Anyway, the United States is losing. They have yet to try to maintain the status quo. But the status quo is unlikely to suit China, which is gaining more and more power,” he concluded.
