Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The land returned to China will not be allowed to be lost: Chinese Foreign Minister

The Lanting Forum on Chinese Modernization and the World was held in Shanghai on April 21. In discussing the Taiwan issue, Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Kang stressed that Taiwan’s return to China is a part of the international order after World War II. It has come back, it will not be allowed to be lost.

Chin Kang said that today those who unilaterally harm the stability of the Taiwan Strait by breaking international rules are the few countries exercising the power to divide Taiwan and the so-called Taiwan independence. They are actually the history of World War II. Along with overturning the post-war international order by subverting China’s sovereignty, they want to trample underfoot. One billion 400 million Chinese people will not allow this at all.

In the discussion of Chinese modernization, Qin Kang said that modernization is the right of every country, from which it cannot be deprived and it is not the monopoly of some countries. He stressed that China will not compete with big countries and will resolutely safeguard its development interests and the Chinese people’s right to pursue a better life.
